What a beautiful day today was. The sad thing is that I don't have my Cman here with me to enjoy. But he is enjoying Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt Del. He got to go see the 2011 world series trophy with some of the St. Louis Cardinals players. What a great time and it just started he will not be home until the 27th. Jman is happy to have mommy time.

day 1 & 2 of crazy fun

Josh and I started out our crazy fun house remodeling with taking the K, B, and J to Bloomington to meet my parents for their spring break. We got bake really late that night. This was day 1

Got to go shopping for paint and laminate flooring for the front room and the dinning room. We had lots of fun spending some of the tax's return on this. After a little break for me. I started in moving stuff so we could start the demolition. Josh got a longer but much needed break. He went to get 2 of the young men in our ward to help him start the fun for putting big holes in a wall. they worked for about 2 hours before it got to dark to see and dinner was ready. Kirill and Julian thanks for your help and for letting Josh have a "Halo" fun time after. The played Halo for a couple of hours after they ate.

What a fun 2 days and plenty more to come. Pictures wil come when we finish the project.

Well not a lot has happened so far this year.
C has been sick for all but 2 weeks so far this year. He has had 2 GI scopes one in November and then in January found out that he still has the same thing and is scheduled for his 3 in April in the mean time he is on a special formula it is completely hypoallergenic and it is $45(on sale)to $80 a 14.5oz can of powder. He goes through 1 can every 2 days.
J has been the best little helper. He helps take care of C, loves to help with dishes and laundry. He and I have been working on his reading when we have the time. He can not wait to go to school in 2 years.
B is getting excited for her baptism. We are looking at Thanksgiving weekend for her baptism. She loves school and stays way ahead of her class.
K is having the best time in bears (Cub Scouts). For Blue & Gold he designed and decorated his whole cake the theme was "anything to do with Cub Scouts."

He did get to share a first with his dad this past Wednesday when they were in a fender bender the car makes it look worse that what it was. They said it just felt like a break check to them.

We did have a ice/snow storm in February we got almost 2 inches of ice and then snow on top of it the kids made a ice rink in the back yard.

Happy Holidays to all Our Dear Family and Friends!
We hope that this finds you in good health. We have been very blessed this year.
As a family we had the opportunity to go to Bull Shoals, Arkansas in July with some of Natasha’s family .We had a blast camping for the week. We also had the opportunity to go to Nashville, Tennessee for a short trip for the blessing of our new baby nephew/cousin Kaden Stratton.
Josh got a contract job working for a safety company IMMI in their C.A.P.E. facility in Westfeild, Indiana. He really enjoys the company. He got to see the company crash a fire truck in October just after he was hired on. He has had the opportunity to go hunting quite a bit this year. He arrowed a good sized doe in November.
Natasha has enjoyed her time at home with the kids. She really loves taking pictures of the kids and all the fun stuff that they do.
Kaelobbe is 8 and can’t wait until his birthday New Year’s Day. He has made the honor roll and sets an example to his classmates in third grade. He really loves learning not only reading, math, science, and history; but also the gospel of Jesus Christ. Kaelobbe made the choice to be baptized and receive the gift of the Holy Ghost on January 2nd here in Indianapolis. It was a very special day for him and all of the family and friends that made it here. This summer he was able to take hunters education and now wants to go hunting every chance he can with is dad.
Brieanna turned 7 in October and can’t wait until she turns 8 next year and is able to be baptized. She has made the honor roll also and is reading end of second grade books. She loves being in school and spending time with her new friends that she has made in 1st grade. Brie is still our girly girl; but she now wants to take hunters education in the summer so that she can go hunting with her daddy. She loves going fishing and just spending time with daddy.
Jonathan turned 4 in November. He has had a blast this year getting to spend Jonathan time at Grandma and Grandpa Stratton’s house. They took him to see Chicago and on a ferry ride. He got to spend almost a week at Grandpa’s apartment in Milan, Illinois. He also got Aunt Del time to. Uncle Josh and Aunt Marissa spoiled him as well. During the time spent at Grandma and Grandpa’s he potty trained. Yeah we have a very big boy now.
Cristian just turned 2 this month. He loves to spend time with his brothers and sister. Cristian has had a very trying year with his health. He seems to have caught everything under the sun. So after all the tests and doctor after doctor he was diagnosed with Eosinophilia Esophagitis (EE) and that he does have food allergies that in the new year we will work through. But he does not let anything get him down. With all this going on he decided that he wanted to be as big as his brother. He is now potty training.
Maycee is a 3 year old Siberian husky. She joined our family 2 Saturdays before Thanksgiving. Uncle Josh and Aunt Marissa got her from the Quincy human society. She really loves the kids and is getting use to the whole swing of things here. We have all fallen in love with her. She is such a sweet heart.
We have really been blessed this year with trials as well as blessings. We are grateful for all the learning experiences that we have had to grow from through it all.

We went to Demoine, IA to see Oma and Aunt Dalyn. We also got to go to the Demoine Zoo. we had fun until Kaelobbe ended up getting really sick. He had a fever of 103 and it was in the 90's. Poor kid.

crazy house

So for all you that have seen on face book I have posted that we have a new dishwasher as well as washing machine and dryer. Here is the story behind our crazy month. Our dyer has been slowly dieing on us for a while it just got to the point it took 3 hours to dry a small load of clothes and then the washing machine started to grind like crazy. We went to go look and walked out with the receipt for them they are front loaders and we love them.

As for the dishwasher. We have been teaching the kids to help out with the jobs around the house. Cristian really likes to stand on the door and help unload the dishes and also play with the dish soap cover. I guess that him and Brie was fighting over shutting the cover so it would lock well it would not lock after that. Come to find out that when we pulled out the dishwasher it what the original that was placed in the house when it was built in 1982. lets just say yuck know wonder we had to clean the dishes and then run them through.

So need less to say this house will have all new appliances for us until we move when ever that is. We are waiting for the MEPS guy to pre approve Josh for the Army.

Well we heard back from the MEPS guy and we need to get a nero exam for Josh that is with in the last 12 months. so now we are trying to see what we can do.

Kaelobbe's Pinewood Durby

This car comes with the procrastination of Josh and Kaelobbe. They really got to work on the car Sunday. Finished up with the caving Monday. Painted Tuesday. Put the wheels on 1 1/2 hours before the race and we brake the front left axle off the car. Thanks to Gorilla Glue, a clap, and a hour to dry we made it through all 3 heats. The car only weighed in at 3.89 grams we could have added a whole gram more but we did not want anything else to happen.

10th anniversary

This morning I woke up to Cristian crying realized that Josh had got up. I went down stair and in to the kitchen.There was Josh. He asks me what time I got up to get Kaelobbe up and I said not for another 15 minutes. He then tell me that I ruined the surprise. He was making me breakfast in bed. So he sent me back to bed so that he could let me enjoy the thought.

The pink rose was on my breakfast tray and the dozen red roses where waiting down stairs for me.Josh made fresh blueberry pancakes, sausage, and a egg for breakfast with ruby red grapefruit juice. I was in heaven.

Then Josh, Jonathan, Cristian, and I all enjoyed washing Josh's car. We had loads of fun watching Cristian spray himself in the face with the hose. Josh and I got cleaned up and then we went out to dinner.

We ate at Ginza's. We love that place. Josh had Octopus Salad, Sushi, and the Scallop dinner (fried rice, veggies, shrimp, and his scallops plus onion soup, and a salad)I enjoyed the Ginger Chicken dinner (it came with the same as Josh's except for the scallops.) they were go good and a lot of food. yeah lunch for tomorrow. Yum.

For all of you that don't know Josh is applying for the army and he goes in tomorrow April 12, 2010 at 1:30 pm Eastern time to take the ASVAP test. Then a medical waver from the MEPS people and then we hope to find out what the next step is. After lots of prayers to our Heavenly Father on what was our next step in life he points us to the Military. Josh has always wanted to go Air Force but the Lord has other plans. This will be another new ad venture in our family and we all are looking forward to what we have in the future. It will be hard at first but with loving family, friends, and the church we will get through it.

Durian Fruit

For all those that don't know durian fruit is a product of Thailand. Josh wanted to try it so I said he had to talk to his brother Laef and find out what it is like before he could get it. As you can see he did chat with his brother on Facebook about it. So we said that we would try thing at least once. Josh gave the Kaelobbe and Brieanna the first taste. Kaelobbe said that it was good and then changed his mind and ran for the trash to spit it out. Brieanna did not let it set in her mouth very long and she was gagging and spit it out. Well then it was Jonathan's turn Josh placed it in his mouth and he spit it out right there and said "that is really yucky daddy." Josh and I chewed and sallowed the very soft but mushy fruit that leaves the worst after taste in your mouth every. And we had to totally agree with the kids that was just gross. Just to give you a idea on what it tastes like if any of you have been around a freshly killed deer that has been field dressed and hanging in a closed in a garage. I think that should paint the picture of the taste.

A Special Surprise (Sunday Sept 13th)

Today when we got to church we had a surprise waiting for us. Well the Lord had his hand in this 100%. A couple that Josh baptised while on his mission in Arizona are in town working. We had not been in contact with them for almost 2 1/2 years; while they were serving their mission. Now back to the story. The Colemen's had decided to attend sacrament meeting in our ward not knowing we were here. They saw Josh's name on the program as giving the opening prayer. In we walked and they asked if he was Josh Bokish. To make a long story short. So we enjoyed a little visit before everything got started.
I would like to thank our Heavenly Father for directing the Coleman's to our ward as well as the executive secretary for asking us to give the prayers to. So that we could cross paths.

We had a great time today and got to see a lot of 1st. We got to see the walurs put on a show, see a 3 week old giraffe, and we took our neighbor with us and it was his 1st time to the zoo. And it started to rain on us. By the end they were jumping in puddles. Everyone was wet.

I had to g out of the house after missing church with Cristian running a fever of 102. So I said that I wanted to go for a walk and the kids wanted to go too. So I took a family walk just over a mile. We all enjoyed the walk. It is not far from our house for all of those who have not been here. The part that we walked is right behind the Indianapolis Colts practice field and gym.
